Overview of Natures Own Growing System, BioVam 
and the Soil Food Web 

In this document, we explain the relationship between our products and how the soil life in our products work to build up the soil ecosystem and to benefit cultivated plants.

Goal of our products

Our goal is to provide products containing the best soil life nature has to offer, that multiply beneficial life in the soils many times over, and grow high energy, high yielding, nutritious plants of the highest quality, free of diseases and destructive insects.

Natures Own Growing System combined with BioVam, and a broad spectrum of minerals (Planters II), and composted organic material or Biosol Organic Fertilizer, can make that goal a reality.

Enhancing the basics:

Organic farmers and gardeners have long recognized the importance of mineral rich compost and mineral rich cover crops that provide the initial ‘building block’ for a harmonious eco-system.  Our products take that process to a much higher level by introducing Natures Own Growing System Tea with it's diverse variety of aerobically brewed microbes into the soils and onto plant surfaces and BioVam’s endomycorrhizal fungi, trichoderma fungi, and aerobic bacteria into the root zone of plants for the purpose of turning those mineral rich nutrients into plant food.

Natures Own Growing System brewer kits:

Natures Own Growing System brewer kits are low cost brewers aimed at growing a variety of aerobic microbes in high quantities.  Food, Beneficial Bacteria and Fungi (Soil Life & Activator ingredients), are brewed as an aerobic tea to cause beneficial microorganisms to super multiply in their numbers.

Effects of Natures Own Growing System plus additional food:

When natural soluble fertilizers are mixed into the tea at the end of the brewing process, there are a number of important events that can take place after the tea is applied to plant and soil surfaces:

1.  Microbes make food and become food.  The microbes will consume the food and change it into a form the plants can metabolize.  This higher level of beneficial soil life rapidly processes natural mineral and organic resources in the soils, continuously supplying food for plants and other beneficial life forms in the soils.  A nutrient rich menu is also released to the plants when the microbe life cycle ends.  The plentiful microorganisms themselves become a source of food for all the other life forms in the soils, including the plants.  Typically, protozoa will eat the large numbers of bacteria making the nutrients locked in the bacteria available to the plants and other organisms.

2.  Microbes act as anti-pathogens.  The microbes also provide an anti-pathogenic capacity in the soil, and on plant surfaces to keep the pathogenic fungi and  bacteria in check through a wide range of mechanisms such as, higher plant energy (natural resistance), inhibition of spore germination and aerobic bacteria eating anaerobes and pathogenic fungi. The trichoderma fungi in BioVam and Natures Own Growing System Microbe tea are particularly aggressive in controlling fungal pathogens.  As they dominate by sheer numbers, pathogens cannot establish themselves.  These active beneficial life forms include aerobic bacteria, protozoa, yeasts, fungi, and beneficial nematodes.  There are also chemical antagonists present such as phenols and amino acids along with soluble nutrients and humic substances.

3.  Other life form populations and benefits increase.  This process is like a cascading natural domino effect, causing all the other beneficial soil life forms to have a much higher level of activity as they feast on Natures Own Growing System's microbes, which are applied on a periodic basis to soil and plant surfaces. The benefits derived from all these beneficial life forms in the soils are greatly increased, as their numbers and activity increase.  This is true soil activation at work!  Plants benefit from higher levels of available food (minerals chelated with amino acids produced by bacteria, for example), and from the higher numbers of beneficial organisms present and active around, inside and on the plants.

BioVam is enhanced by Natures Own Growing System

1.       BioVam's mycorrhizal fungi, trichoderma fungi, and several species of beneficial aerobic bacteria significantly contribute to the beneficial soil life presence and to plant growth.  The higher levels of life from Natures Own Growing System applications due to the Soil Life & Activator ingredients, help supply food to the organisms in BioVam.  

2.       BioVam's Endomycorrhizal fungi work jointly with Natures Own Growing System's microbe-army in several ways:

A.   BioVam's VAM fungi insure that important minerals processed by aerobic bacteria and freed by the protozoa will be metabolized through the root system. 

B.   VAM fungi produce glomalin, an important carbon based super glue (produced only by VAM fungi), which holds soil particles together. This creates excellent soil tilth and moisture retention and additional food for soil bacteria. 

C.   With weekly applications of Natures Own Growing System onto soils, the microorganisms quickly dominate and supercharge the ecosystem, and plants thrive as even more food is moved through the VAM fungi hyphae network into plant roots. 

D.   The Trichoderma fungi also build soil tilth, fight off plant pathogens, and promote more root growth. This larger plant root system provides more surfaces for the aerobic life from Natures Own Growing System to live on and generate food for the benefit of the plants and other beneficial life forms. 

E.    Natures Own Growing System microbes join with BioVam’s aerobic bacteria to process minerals and organic materials in the ground.  That process is also a food source for protozoa, nematodes, and earthworms, whose populations rise rapidly because their supply of food is increasing.  As the earthworms tunnel through the soils, roots grow out farther from the plants and more air and water seeps deeper into the soils to sustain the soil food web population.

F.    The soil life that is generated with these products, produce levels tens of hundreds of times higher than what occurs in nature.  We know that mineral nutrient rich organic material and compost are an important agricultural input.  With Natures Own Growing System Tea and BioVam, we are supplying beneficial soil life in high quantities to quickly process them. 

G.   Increasing the soil food web infrastructure enables nutrition for the plants and a multitude of soil building organisms, such as earthworms and a variety of beneficial insects.  These in turn feed higher life forms such as birds and mammals.  Nature's food chain is supported and sustained.  This is why we call Natures Own Growing System a "Soil Activation System". 

H.   Natures Own Growing System Microbe Tea organisms take up residence on plant surfaces and leave no room for pathogenic organisms to grow.  When applied to the soils, they consume anaerobic bacteria and pathogenic fungi in the process of transforming mineral and organic material into food for the plants.  This is why “The System” can reduce or eliminate powdery / downy mildew, early / late blight, phytopthora, verticillium, black spot, botrytis, anthracnose and leaf curl.

I.     The aerobic bacteria work jointly with the VAM fungi in BioVam to help it colonize plant roots, process the minerals and organic material in the soils into plant food, and to move that food through the hyphae network of the mycorrhizal fungi into the plant roots.  They also do things like fix atmospheric nitrogen and form ammonia ions, solubalize minerals, work in conjunction with the mycorrhizal fungi, and work to out compete various fungal and bacterial pathogens in the soils and on plant surfaces. 

J.     The performance of BioVam's VAM fungi is greatly enhanced by Natures Own Growing System Tea.  For all the organisms to build soil tilth, none is better than these two working together.  When organic growers use these products in conjunction with a wide range of minerals and composted organic material, plant performance quickly jumps into the realm of high energy and vibrant plant vitality.  Those plants are not a home for diseases and they are not recognized as food by destructive insects until we want to turn them into compost. High brix levels are common in plants grown with these products.

K.   When Natures Own Growing System Tea and BioVam are used to increase the numbers of beneficial soil life, more time and growing related financial resources are made available to the gardener / farmer because our products have taken away the need to expend time and money on controlling diseases and destructive insects. 

We hope to free gardeners and growers from all sorts of growing related issues and problems. That is why our products, and this system, are so cost effective. Amounting to pennies per plant per application.
